Their secretary claims to possess old diaries that shed light on the society’s sordid past, along with notes perpetrated on tablecloth, cocktail napkin, hand towel, demand letters for child maintenance, and a silky pair of knickers. Many notes are illegible, proving that members not only slur their speech after a few pints, but also the written word.
